In Our Parish:
Our successful ministries support worship, church operations and maintenance.
St. Veronica’s Altar Guild: Altar Guild members prepare the Altar every week for the two regular worship services, and any additional services as needed. They also lay out the vestments for the priest and clean up after each service. They work on a rotating basis in teams of 2-3, performing their duties one weekend per month. The Guild is also responsible for decorating the Church at Christmas and Eastertide. They maintain the plants by watering, grooming and loving them throughout the holiday season. One of the Guild members also manages the Altar Flowers Fund, keeping track of all those who wish to donate, when and for whom.
Music Ministry: We have a dedicated music director through whose artistry our spiritual experience is deepened.
Ladies Guild: The Ladies Guild works on projects for the annual Christmas Bazaar, plans events to share with the parish and community, and enjoys fellowship with one another. Much of the Guild members’ energy is focused on producing a successful Christmas Bazaar for the parish and community, and therefore volunteers are honored and thanked for their service at a Luncheon held in the New Year. The Guild extends an invitation to all women in the parish to join them for fun and fellowship as they work on projects to benefit the Church. They meet regularly in the Parish Hall at 1 pm on Tuesdays from September through May.
St. Luke’s Prayer Team and Eucharistic Ministers: The Prayer Team is committed to praying for those whose names are given in confidence, within the parish and beyond. On the second and fourth Sundays the healing ministry is offered at both services. Anyone wishing to receive the laying on of hands on their own or another’s behalf, is invited to approach the prayer team in front of the nave after receiving communion. Our lay Eucharistic Ministers visit the sick and shut-ins for a friendly visit or for the giving of communion.
